Joey Garnett, 68,  passed away April 12, 2019.  He was born in Akron, OH, Nov. 22, 1950. Joey graduated from Central High School in 1968 and worked at Children's Hospital, St. Thomas Hospital, the Coroner's Office and Akron Public Schools as security.  He was an entertainer and helped started local group called the Stepping Meditations. Joey was preceded in death by parents, Abraham and Anna Lee (Anderson) Garnett; wife Juanita Garnett; sisters, Yolanda Garnett, Jacqueline Andrus, Theresa Dardie and Sandras Garnett, He is survived by daughter, Yolanda Moore; brother, Robert (Ruby) Garnett; sister, Janet Burt; special cousin, Wilson Rhodes and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special friends, Robert Hunt, Tommy Upshaw, Dasha Vinson and Mylun Scott.
