Joe Nathan Stampleyy, of Stow, OH passed away at Akron General Cleveland Clinic on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Joe was born March 2, 1956 in Greenville, MS to Hubble Barnett and Lenora Stampley. Joe graduated from Greenville High School where he played trombone and drums. After high school he worked as a cameraman for Greenville News Station. He later attended college in Chicago, IL. He also worked in electronics which he loves to do in his past time. He retired from UAW Steel Mill after 25 years. He was always making you laugh by saying funny things. He enjoyed fishing with friends and family. He talked a lot about the good times with his siblings. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother. He also enjoyed taking family vacations and family game night. He was a devoted member of Jehovah Witness Congregation and had much love for all.
He leaves behind his loving wife Estherletia Sampley; his mother Lenora Toplin; his son Stephen (Stephanie Lynn) Stampley; grandchildren, Madison, Mason, and Ma- kayla Stampley; stepchildren, Trina and Londa McInnis; step grandchildren, Brianca Idley, Jerrod Riley, Jr., Shyna Riley, Kareena Carruth, Sophina Carruth and twins Da- vid and Heaven McInnis; siblings, Mary Ann Scott of Detroit, MI, Andrew (Margaret) Diggins of Mesquite, TX, James (Joyce) Diggins of Flower Mound, TX, Gloria Faye Dig- gins of Detroit, MI, Winston Diggins of Detroit, MI, Dwayne (Lisa) Diggins of Forney, TX, Michelle Diggins of Garden City, MI, Vincent (Wanda) Diggins of Waterford, MI; sister-in-law Verna McInnis; aunts, Mary Scott and Rachel (David) Barnett; uncle James Stampley; special cousins, Berniece Waddell; and a host of other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.
He was preceded in death by his father Hubble Barnett; loving brother Melvin Diggins; aunts, Martha, Arcenia, Earlean, and Daisy Lee; and uncles, Thomas Jr., and Sammy.
