Joe Lewis, age 67 went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2015. He was born on February 21, 1947 to the late Abner and Gearldine Lewis in Charleston, West Virginia. Joe was an avid skater, bowler, and dancer. He was featured in the Canton Repository as one of Stark County's Most Interesting People, in addition he was voted as best male bowler for two years. Although he was passionate about bowling and dancing, his first love was roller skating, he made an instructional skating video that was beneficial to beginner skaters as well as advanced skaters. He will be missed by all that knew him, but he will be especially missed by his family and his skate family, including his "favorite skate partner", his niece Latrice Snodgrass.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; Abner and Gearldine Lewis, his children; Felicia Lewis and Tevya Robinson, siblings; Pearl West, Jody "Sonny" Cunningham.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children; Joe Lewis Jr., Lance Lewis, Saretha (Darnell) Land, Valerie Fisher, siblings; Bernice Stevenson, Tansia (Grady) Jeter, Shirley Lewis, Charles (Juanita) Lewis as well as a host of grandchildren, one great grandchild a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
