JoAnne, 81 of Canton, Ohio Graduated at the top of her Class at Akron West High School, in 1953.  She later attended Bennett College as Music Major, where she later was employed as an Accompianist and Assistant Music Educator with the Canton (Ohio) City Schools from 1967-2002.  She performed as Organist at several Northeastern Ohio Churches, including the Pipe Organ. Known, for her quick wit as an educator, She never forgot the love that she shared often during her 35 years with elementary and middle schools students, many of which will always remember just how effectively she touched their lives. She preceded in death by her Parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Smart Evans, Brother, Gerald Evans, Sister Charlotte Mans, Daughter, Katherine Grant, Ex-husband William F Grant.  She is survived by her Sons Kenneth (Columbus OH), Robert Norman, and Reginald Grant, Daughter, Diane Grant-McSwine (Wallace J), of Texas, Grand Children: Amber Grant, Kimberly Martin, Justin Grant, and Kenneth Grant, Jr, Sister Jeannie Cheatham (San Diego, CA), Richard (Eleanor) Evans (Twinsburg) and David (Dorotlhy) Evans (Akron), Neices, Nephews, and a host of Relatives and Loved Ones.
