JoAnn Richardson was born on August 15, 1955 in Canton, Ohio.  She departed this earthly life unexpectantly on August 9, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital at the age of 67.  JoAnn loved to dance and she loved her family.  She will be missed dearly. JoAnn was a graduate of McKinley High School.  She retired from the McKinley Health Care Center after 28 years of employment.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Richardson and father, Willie Richardson Jr; step-mother, Emma Richardson; two sisters, Matilda Smith Hawkinsand Maxine Richardson; two brothers, Matthew "Burt" (Vivian) Smith, and Alex "Bubba" (Madoris) Smith.

She leaves to cherish her children; son, Edward "Man" Richardson of Canton, Ohio; daughter, Essence (Richard) Manuel of Canton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; Trevon Richardson, Aliyah Richardson, Kayla Parker, Jamier Richardson, Emiya Richardson, Edward "Lil Man" Richardson, Essence Richardson, Richard "TeJay" Manuel, MaKai Manuel, all of Canton, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; Aiden, Trevon Richardson Jr., Treyana, Mateo, Ariana, Dior, and Trejore, all of Canton, Ohio; sister Ruthie Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special family and friends.
