Jewell M. Lewis, went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2019 at the blessed age of 91.  She was born May 21, 1928 in Seney Polk County, GA to the late James and Elzora Mitchell. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church for 50 years and later united with Greater Bethel Baptist Church until her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Eddie N. Lewis, Sr.; son, Eddie N. Lewis, Jr; parents; 3 sisters and one brother. To cherish her memory, she leaves, daughters, Glenda Poole (caregiver) of Akron, OH and Pat (and special son-in-law, Cleophus "Duke) Poole of St. Louis, MO; sister, Mamie Lee Mitchell of Akron; brothers, Oliver Mitchell and Herman Mitchell of Las Vegas, NV; 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Spaulding; Spiritual adopted children Deacon George and Marilyn King; and special God-daughters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
