Jermaine N. Talley, 42, of Akron, Ohio passed away Saturday (January 16, 2016) in Summit County. Born on July 2, 1973 in Akron, OH. in Summit County to Henry Talley, Sr. and Geraldine Kerney. Jermaine was a wonderful person who never met a stranger. At age 13 his father relocated to Kansas City and Jermaine along with him. He graduated from Park High School in North Kansas City where he also met his beautiful wife Tonya R. Shaw. They married on March 10, 2012, in Akron, OH, she survives. To their union was born two beautiful daughters, Heavenly and Mariana. Jermaine dedicated his life to the Lord and attended The Rock Church in Akron, OH. He had a heart for outreach ministry and his desire was to reach those who did not know Christ.  He last worked at Newell Rubbermaid. Also surviving are: sons, Sho, Andrea, Jordan , daughters, Saliyah, and Kaneisha; step-children, 3J, LJ, TiJonae, and Cherish; father and step-mother; Henry and Deborah Talley; siblings; Annie, Henry Jr., Sheila. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Kerney and sister, Carmaine Kerney. He also leaves a host of family and friends to cherish his memory. Jermaine's nickname was "Shorty" and although that may have been his handle, it was definitely not his personality. He was truly a wonderful person and will live forever in the hearts of those who he encountered here on earth. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 12 noon at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will greet guests from 11 a.m. until time of service.
