Barberton, Ohio — Jermaine (Big Maine) Johnson Sr, a long-time resident of the Barberton community, died Monday April 10, 2023 at Summa Health Hospital - Barberton Campus at the age of 42. Jermaine attended Barberton City Schools and was widely known throughout  Barberton and surrounding areas, mostly due to his large family and many friends. If he wasn't at the casino or chilling with the family, you could catch him firing up his grill or hitting some tees on the golf course.

Jermaine was proceeded in death by his son, Anthony Johnson; grandfathers, James Keys and Scott Johnson; grandmother, Cynthia Long; nephew, Antonio Johnson; aunts, Delores Ingol and Dawn Keys; and cousins, Tasha Ingol and Christian Lee.

He is survived by parents, Patricia and Anthony Johnson; grandmother, Florence Keys; sons, Jermaine (JJ) Johnson Jr. and Christopher Matthews; daughters, Alyssa Johnson, Alaina and Alisha Williams; sisters, Brittany Johnson and Crystal Woods; brother, Antoine Johnson; partner, Melissa Williams; nephews, Michael, Tae'Vion, and Tra'Vion Johnson, Adam Warner Jr; aunts, Ashley Keys, Lillian (Eric) Mitchell, Lucille Johnson, and Tamela and Tracy Lee; uncles, Anthony, James, and Gary Keys and Gary (Lisa) Lee; special aunts, Charlene and Barb Keyes; special cousins, Tobie and Tyrone Ingol; Wayne Brown; Bryan (B-Bear) Thompson; special friends, Isaac Pierce, Jessika Clegg, and a host of other relatives and friends that he all loved deeply.
