Jerald F. Garrett, age 47, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday 10/22/2025 in Canton, Ohio after complications following an extended illness. Jerald was born in Canton, Ohio on 4/6/1978 to his parents Fred Garrett Jr. and Dessie (Curry) Garrett. Jerald was a graduate of Southgate School in 1996. After graduation, Jerald attended The Workshops Inc. Jerald enjoyed his Sunday morning pancakes and eggs, riding in the van and listening to music with his family! Jerald loved to be outdoors. Jerald will be sorely missed by his family and those that loved him. Survivors include siblings: Barry Garrett, Lisa (Leroy) Smith, Jermaine (Jennifer) Garrett, Gary (Shereece) Garrett. Cherished nieces and nephews: Barry Marcus, Joy, Brina, Sierra, Brandon(Nicole), Dessia, Marcel, Malia(Tanner), Lameir, Dayjour and Darius including numerous great nieces and nephews. A special appreciation goes out to Lorraine Garrett and Jerald's extensive care team over the years that loved and cherished him, notably his 17 year caregiver Alisa Scruggs.
