Jeanette Carter passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 26, 2023. She was born on February 27th, 1935, to Georgia and Israel Martin in Fairfax, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luther Carter, her siblings Willie Mae Harris, Foster Perkins, Annie Mae Wilson, Johnnie Mae Cuningham, Clifford Cummings Jr., Tremayne and Loretta Stone. She is survived by her children, Antoinette Cummings, Luther Carter Jr., Nathanial Carter, and Jerome Carter. Her grandchildren, Willshana Christopher, Daquita Cummings, Luquita Watkins, Erica Parker, Anthony Cummings, Luther Deondre Carter, Erica Thompson, Nathanial Carter Jr., Deontae Carter, and a host of grandkids and great grandchildren. Jeanette loved to spend time helping others. She worked at St. Thomas in Akron as a Nurses Aid for 30 years. She also spent tie working as a foster grandparent in Summit County. When she wasn't working with the children, she liked to spend time bowling, gambling, shopping, going out to eat, and being with family. Jeanette touched the hearts of many and she will be deeply missed.
