Jeaneen Marie
Stevenson
July 3, 1959 – March 3, 2024
Jeaneen Marie Stevenson, a lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on March 3, 2024 at Aultman Hospital after an extended illness. Jeaneen was born on July 3, 1959 to Booker T. and Lueticher Stevenson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert "Sonny", Lonnie J. and Richard Earl Stevenson as well as her nephew Curtiss Shawn Graves and best friend Minnie. Jeaneen attended McKinley Senior High School. After graduation, she worked at Wilson Rubber Factory until the company closed. She was an avid reader, loved football and cheering on her favorite team, the Washington Redskins/Commanders, watching old movies tv and soap operas, listening to music/radio and nature. She inherited her love of baking from her mother and she was known for her delicious pound cake and cookies; but most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Jeaneen was one of ten children. She was the ideal younger sister with a sweet personality and big heart. She gave unconditional love and support to each of her siblings but had an unbreakable bond with her older sister Alma, who was not only a sister but became a mother figure after their mother passed away. Jeaneen and her brother, Jerry, shared the same birthday and enjoyed celebrating their special day together each year. Jeaneen also had a special relationship with her nieces and nephews, Corey and Erica Stevenson, who she helped raise and considered her as a second mom. She loved and adored each of her nieces and nephews great and great-great, and was called "NeNe" by many of them, but she had an extra special love and bond with great niece, Kayla Stevenson, who was her devoted live-in caregiver for the past few years. Her caring nature, kind heart and love will be greatly missed but her memory will be eternal. She is survived by her beloved sisters, Alma Stevenson-Bailey of Canton; Mary Frances Graves-Davis (Blaine) of Rio Vista, California; loving brothers Arthur Graves, Jerry Graves (Eddie), Rev. Curtiss Graves and Kevin Stevenson (Debbie) of Canton, special friend and companion, Frank Staples; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
