Janine Marie Green's Obituary

With hearts full of love, gratitude, and reverence for a remarkable life, we celebrate the homegoing of Minister Janine Marie Green—a cherished daughter, devoted sister, loving mother, adoring grandmother, aunt, and faithful friend. Janine entered this world on May 3, 1963, and on November 20, 2025, she peacefully returned to the arms of her Savior. From her earliest days, Janine carried a light within her—an unmistakable warmth that drew others near. She moved through life with a beautiful heart: one that loved boldly, forgave freely, and welcomed all with open arms. Her unwavering faith in God shaped her path, steadied her spirit, and guided the generous way she cared for those around her. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her parents, siblings, and children with deep devotion, and her grandchildren—affectionately known as "her babies"—brought a sparkle to her eyes and abundant joy to her days. To those closest to her, Janine was both anchor and sunshine—steady, strong, uplifting, and wonderfully full of life. Janine was a proud graduate of Timken Senior High School and went on to earn her Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees. Professionally, she served with excellence and compassion as a dedicated respiratory therapist, pouring her heart into the healing of others. Over the years, she worked in many hospitals throughout Canton and the surrounding areas, most recently at Select Specialty Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. She was also a licensed minister, teaching the Word of God with grace, conviction, and an earnest love for people. Those who knew her will forever remember her sense of humor—quick, effortless, and contagious. Janine had a rare gift: even in heavy moments, she could bring laughter to the room. Her presence lifted spirits, and her joy lingered long after she walked away. Janine was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles and Vernelia May Moore, and by her first husband, Dornes Butler. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Ashley M. Butler; her son, Dornes Butler Jr.; and her beloved grandchildren, Analyssa, Symeon, Yasyeria, Arabella, and Zacharias Butler. She is also survived by her siblings: Dwight D. Burch Sr., Charles A. Moore Jr., Lynn V. Moore, Linda V. (Hugh) Simpson, Justina M. (Lorenzo) Bagley, Kirk M. (Jotwyla) Moore, and Kevin M. (Heather) Moore, along with a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly treasured. She is also survived by former husband Morrio Green, who continues to hold her and the family in warm regard. Janine leaves behind a legacy woven with love, faith, compassion, and joy. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we rejoice in knowing she is safe, restored, and wrapped in God's eternal embrace. Her memory lives on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every act of kindness inspired by her beautiful life. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always celebrated.
