James Franklin Wynn, 73, went Home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2024, peacefully by his family and friends in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on July 7, 1951, in Akron, Ohio to the late Betty Wynn and John Howard Wynn, Sr. James "Jimmy" excepted Christ at an early age. James attended the Akron Public Schools and also several Trade Schools in Detroit, Michigan.

Being raised in Akron, Ohio he later relocated to Detroit, Michigan. He was first married to the late Juanaquee Ellis Winn. Jimmy was a cab driver in Detroit for 30 years, driving was his passion. Later he retired and became the owner of Jimmy Doggs Hot Dog Cart. He enjoyed working at the local Food Banks, making sure his family, friends and neighbors had food. Jimmy was a great handyman, working on houses, cars and appliances. He loved listening to the blues, playing cards, fishing, watching television and drinking his Milwaukee Best Ice Beer.

He was preceded by both parents; brothers, John Howard Wynn, Jr. (Pee Wee), Hecliff Akra, and special brother, Ralph E. McCormick (Gene); sister, Faith Johnson; special friends. Edwin Jones (Freddy Ready), Willie Vinson (Loaf), James Eskridge (Jimbo) and Robert Mitchell (Lil Bobby).

Leaving to cherish his memory, his loving, faithful and devoted wife, Gwendolyn Stafford-Wynn; daughters, Ericka Wynn, Shannon Carson and Dietra Goggins; sons, Alan Cannon Wynn, Jermaine Winn, Darnell Ellis and Demetrius Parker, Sr. (Audrey); three special devoted grandchildren that he helped raise, Roualview Hawkins, Jr. (Lil Pete), Pierre Hawkins, Sr. and Zaria Funches; sisters, Gwendolyn Nesby, Beatrice Matthews, Ardis Whiteside, Helen Braziel, Nadine Wynn and Cynthia Hill; brother, Eric Hill (Eywana); special brothers-in-law, Arthur Stafford, Jr. and Roger Stafford; sister-in-law, Susan Singleton (Niecy); devoted caregiver and niece, Jaquita Williams; best friend, Felton Shropshire; and a host of many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
