James A
Sanders
January 11, 1970 – November 21, 2025
James A. Sanders was born on January 11, 1970, to the late James W. Sanders and Florence Smith Sanders.
James passed away on November 21, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio.
James was a graduate of East High School. He played football, ran track, flag football, and even coached little league football. James' favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, grilling, dancing, and having grand cookouts for family and friends, especially the 4th of July in memory of his mother, who he missed deeply. He was very adventurous and had a loving nature. Many have called James to remove animals from their homes. He also loved traveling. He enjoyed dressing and profiling, he was definitely a Classic Man.
James loved being around family and friends. He was very caring and giving, wanting nothing in return. He had a beautiful smile, his laugh was infectious, and he enjoyed making others laugh. James was a stranger to no one. When James was born, he not only had his mother to care for him, but he also had his 5 sisters, he was all of our baby. Even of his cousins, he was the only boy and baby of his 5 sisters, and he knew that he was loved by all.
James was a dedicated employee for 22 years at BICO Steel, serving as an Occupation Grinder, Class of 03 Union.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his sons, Jasmond Sanders of California and James Sanders Jr. of Akron, Ohio; brother, Brian Sanders; sisters, Kimberly Nurse, Laquetta Ray "KeKe", Karla (Mack) Jones of Virginia, Andrea Nurse "Mony", Sheila Nurse of Cincinnati, Ohio, Torin Solomon; loving friends for over 40 years, Lakumba Wallace, Dante Williams, Robert Boswell; special brother-cousin, Robert Laquan Smith, as well as a host of aunts and uncles whom he loved dearly and a host of nieces and nephews whom loved him dearly.
James carried the weight of being the only brother and uncle and he will be greatly missed.
"R.I.P. Our Big Brother, Little Brother, Only Brother, Bubba James affectionately know as Boo"
Condolences will be received at and may be sent to 1253 Dietz Ave, Akron, Ohio 44301
