Obituary

James (Jimmy) Louis Lee,79, life came to a sudden end Tuesday, April 24, 2018 during his brief time recovering from an injury at Aultman Hospital.

James L. Lee also known as "Blood" by friends was born December 4th, 1938 in Daleville, Alabama to the late Mary and Louis Lee. He was the only son of 7 children, three precedinghim in death. The Lee family moved from Alabama to Ohio in 1957, first in Malvern then settling in Canton where he and his siblings would go on to continue the legacy, traditions, and morals of their hardworking parents.

James was educated and enjoyed playing football in the Malvern school system in Ohio before joining the United States Army. He returned to Canton, Ohio to begin his career in the steel industry. He was known as an outstanding employee throughout his 37 years at the Timken Company in department 59 as a grinder, before retiring in 2001.

The memory and legacy of his life will be cherished and celebrated by his three sisters: Carrie B. Tarver, Annie R. Lee, and Catherine Richards. Although James did not leave behind any paternal children, he was known as an honorary father figure and role model to his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces/great-nephews: Curtis Graham, Debra Kelly, Gerald Graham, Cheryl Graham, Chris Graham, Jennifer Motley, Natisha Rigby, William Lee, Bernard Tarver, Camille Tarver,Porsche Williams, Michelle Richards, Angela Richards, Alan Lee, Brianna Jones, Dorian Cone, Darius Cone, Ky'anna Bonner, Jasmine Lawson, Cheyanna Boyd, and Phillip Jr. Rigby!

He was loved and cared by numerous family, friends, and neighbors. Life was always one step behind Uncle James. Busy from sun up to sundown, the day started with a brisk walk and a long chat with friends over McDonald's coffee. Adventures included road trips to Hartville, Malvern and occasionally the casino with long time companion Pamela Scott Cannon.
