James W. Gibbons (Gibby) (BoBo), 58, went home to be with the Lord September 19, 2013 at Akron General Medical Center.  He was a lifetime resident of this community, a Probation Officer, member of St. John CME Church,Trustee Board, Male Choir, Mentor in coaching and worked in the Food Bank. He was preceded in death by his parents James A. and Gertrude and grandmother Mary M. Simpson.  He is survived by sons, De'Eric and Dion (Brandi) Gibbons; adopted son, Andre Smith Jr.; daughter, Di Chene Gibbons; sister, Glenda Rhoden, all of Akron; two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
