James Lee Austin, age 70, surrounded by family, quietly went home to be with the Lord at Mercy Medical Center on January 7, 2017.  James was born on July 21, 1946 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Joe and Mildred Austin. Later James and his family moved to Canton, Ohio where he attended McKinley Sr. High School.  After graduation he joined the United States Navy.  Following his service time he move to Boston where he met his first wife Kathryn "Karema" Evans and had two sons, James M. and Dana J. Austin.  He would later meet and marry Stephanie Hughely. A short time later James met and married Rose Ann Bush Austin they had one son Marcus A. Austin.  He relocated back to Ohio to raise his family working as an assistant coroner at the Cuyahoga County Coroner Office in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Joe Austin; sons, Dana J. Austin and James Austin.  He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife Rose Ann Austin; children, Keisha (Zerahiah), Eboni, Natasha, Eric, Marcus (Latasha), Naqibah (Jeichael); brother, Larry Brown Austin (Janette); (19) grandchildren, (11) great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, loved ones and children he raised. James will be deeply missed.
