Carpenter, Sr.
January 17, 1950 – December 13, 2025
Jackie Raye Carpenter Sr. was one of a set of triplets born January 17,1950 in Pineville Louisiana to parents Willie Mae Carpenter-Thomas and Lemon Coleman Sr. Jackie was baptized at a young age at Daughter of Zion Baptist Church in Poland Louisiana. He attended Alexandria Senior High School before joining the US Military (Army) where he fought in the Vietnam War thus becoming a veteran. He spent his life in both Rapides Parish Louisiana and Stark County Ohio. He was a skilled fisherman and an accomplished writer. He loved playing the guitar. Jackie loved to spread the gospel. He was an extremely dedicated father who was very passionate about raising all of his children. He was at his best when spending time with his children and grandchildren. He really enjoyed cooking, listening to music and telling his stories. Jackie has never met a stranger. He was extremely loved and will be missed immensely by all who loved and had the privilege of knowing him. On Saturday, December 13th after a very brief illness, Jackie Raye Carpenter was visited by the angel of death and he departed his earthly home, for his heavenly home. His untimely death bought deep sadness to the hearts of many who loved him deeply. He was proceeded in death by his parents Willie Mae Carpenter-Thomas and Lemon Coleman Sr, his son Lebeau Carpenter, grandsons Raymond Lateeb and Aa'Meire Lamar Hightower, granddaughter Nicara Thomas, his triplets Donald Raye and Margaret Carpenter, brothers Raymond and Bennie (Coke)Thomas, Jimmy and Lemon Coleman Jr, sisters Dorothy Mae Lee, Mary Thomas and Bennie Lee-Hilt and a very special uncle Fred Carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Sharon K Carpenter. Daughters Willa Mae Carpenter-Hightower (Aaron L Hightower), Trieisua M Carpenter, Shaneena K Carpenter, Lucianna J Capenter all of Ohio. Ameisha M Harley-Robinson) (Kevin Robinson) of Houston TX, Shelleri R Carpenter of Alexandia, LA, step daughter Angell D Carpenter of Los Angeles, CA. Sons Duke A Carpenter, Jackie R Carpenter Jr of Ohio and Tony Batiste of Alexandria, LA., Viet Carpenter of Vietnam And sister, Martha A Moore of Houston, TX. Thirty-five Grandchilren (22 granddaughters &13 grandsons) and 25 great grandchildren and ahost of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
