Isabell Dukes-McDonald passed away on August 8, 2017 with her children by her side. She was born on November 18,1939 in Luverne, Alabama to the late Sylvester and Lillie Ruth Dukes.  Isabell married Roosevelt McDonald, Sr. and they were married for 56 years.

Isabell was a homemaker for the majority of her life and took great pride in taking care of her family.  Not only did she care for ailing elder members of her family, but she also raised her grandsons and granddaughter and assisted with her great grandchildren.  She was a matriarch and glue that held the family together.  She will be truly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Roosevelt McDonald, Sr.; daughter, Denise McDonald Wilson; (3) brothers, Ollie B. Dukes, Ernest Dukes, and Amos Dukes; sister, Ruthell Robinson.  Isabell is survived by her son Roosevelt McDonald, Jr.; daughters, Bernice White (Fred Evans), Linda McDonald and Rose Butler (Roscoe); grandchildren, Bennie Wilson (Joy), Alonzo White, Shantell White, Summer McDonald, Cameron Butler, and Jordan Butler; great grandchildren, Wayne, Achlyne, Braylon, Kyle, DeiAshia, Jaelyana, Kole, Denise and Elizabeth; sister, Shirley Spencer; sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Hood and Georgeann Thompson (Ernest); special niece, Mary Bodiford and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
