Irma Jean "Dean" Flood of Canton, Ohio departed this life on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at The Laurels of Canton, Canton, Ohio. She was born June 19, 1953, in Henry County, to George M. Annie Lee Hairston Flood. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1971 an Virginia State College in 1975. Irma was employed by Republic Steel, in Ohio for 40 years and was presently employed by Carroll County Constructors, LLC., in Carrollton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother George T. Flood. She is survived by her fiance Rodney Garner of Canton, Ohio; (4) sisters, Mrs. Ollie F. Spencer (Simon), Ms. Barbara F. Divens, Mrs. Sarah F. Moore (Harold), and Ms. Wanda G. Flood all of Martinsville, Virginia; (2) brothers, Dr. Jared W. Flood (Dr. Kathy Jackson), of Washington D.C., and Roger L. Flood (Carolyn), of Waldorf, Maryland; sister-in-law, Shirley S. Flood, of Martisnville;(5) nieces, Tanya F. Jones, Yvonne Spencer, Patricia S.Davis, Nicole M. Nowlin and Denise Spencer; (4) nephews, Shawn Moore, Derek Divens, Corey Flood and Alan Spencer; great nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles as well a host of other relatives and friends.
