Inez H. Mitchem was born in Mt. Gilead, NC and went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2021 after living a God filled life. She was the youngest of nine children. Mother Mitchem was a loving mother to all who knew her. She was very active in her church. She served as a missionary, choir president, secretary of Sunday school and Sheppard mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; sons, Paul, James and Timmis; and eight siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Peter (Billie Jean), Phillip Mitchem, Carolyn Blackmon, Marilyn and Bernadette Mitchem; and a host of nieces, nephews grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
