Obituary

Hyatt Addie, 63, life resident of Akron, OH, departed this earthly life on May 21, 2020. He was the youngest child born to Willie and Virginia Addie on August 30, 1956. While in High School , he and his brother Randell were members of the popular Soul Band, " Alias Funk and Soul".  He was enlisted in the U.S. Army, doing tours of duty in Korea, Germany and several state side assignments. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose Marie; son, Anthony Lynn; brothers, Tyrone, Henry, Bruce and Randell and brother-in-law, Bennie West. To mourn his passing he leaves, sons, Hyatt Jr. (Qiana) and Carlton (Valerie); brothers, Robert (Carolyn) and Nathaniel (Deborah); sisters, Alicia and Wilma; special friends, Sharon Dudley, Diane Camfogli, Randy and Chris Hampton, Jeff Sanders, Victor Head, Charles Jackson and a host of other relatives and friends Homegoing service will be held, Wednesday, June 3, 2020, 12:00 P.M. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 4406, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Min. Michael Burley, Eulogizing. Interment, Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family c/o Rhoden Memorial Home.
