Hubert Humber was born June 8, 1935, in Americus, GA to the late Herbert and Beulah Humber.  In 1958, he moved to Akron, Ohio where he was an active member of Mt. Lebanon   Baptist Church and later, he was promoted to Deacon.

He married the late Cecelia King and to this union 4 children were born: Nathaniel, Patrice, Audrey and Aurelius.

Later in life he re-married to Mother Ernestine Ruffin who preceded him in death along with 5 sons: Clark, Lance, Joe, James and Jerry. Hubert leaves to cherish his memory; Charlene, David (Marilyn), Arthur (Tracey) Gloria (Robert), Mary (David), Charles, Susie (Reed), Chris (Ginger), Roberta, Nate (Tiah) and Jeanette (Shawn) along with a host of other family members and friends.
