Obituary

Houston King,  Jr. was born to the late Houston and Lucille King.

Houston confessed Christ at an early age, New Pilgrim Baptist Church (Birmingham, Alabama).  He attended the Ulman High School.  After graduation, Houston moved to Canton, Ohio and worked at Republic Steel for seventeen years.  He met and married the mother of his son, Patricia Ball.  Houston was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.  He loved the Lord, and would  preach  the gospel everywhere he went.  Houston wrote a book for his family called, "If Football Could Talk."   He truly enjoyed life and spending time with his family and  he will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jake (Barbara) Rowser and Joe Rowser; sister, Shelia (Wilbert) Hoskins

Houston leaves to cherish his memories to his son, Bryant King;   (4) grandchildren, Destanique Gaston, Domaique, Devyon, and Donovan King of Akron, Ohio; sisters, Sarah Walker, Diana Rowser, Josephine Haywood, Irene M. Malinda Jones, Barbara (Braymond) Rice; brother, Roger (Cynthia ) Rowser, Jerome (Carolyn) Rowser; sister-in-law, Katie Rowser, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
