Helen H.
Jennifer
May 30, 1922 – October 11, 2024
Helen Jennifer was born in Hickory, North Carolina on May 30, 1922, to Rosa Margaret and James Kemp, Sr. in a family of seven children.
Helen was educated in Washington, DC where she finished K through 12 and continued on to Washington Technical Institute where she received a degree in nursing in the area of Allied Science. She also completed the Jennifer Business College in 1950, also in Washington, DC, with honors.
Helen was a people person, who loved to laugh and talk and share her many Gods given talents. She loved music and played the piano for three churches.
Helen was married to Romaine Hardmon and to this union two sons were born, Ceasar Romero and Nathaniel Leon. Ceasar, the oldest son, was affectionally called "Mickey", preceded her in death.
Helen leaves to cherish her moving memory, son, Nathaniel Hardmon (Terri), sisters-in-law, Rose and Juanita Kemp; 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; her dearest friend and family member, Annie ("That's My Annie!") Graham of Akron, Ohio who cared lovingly for her until the very end, and a host of many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
