Gregory Tubbs was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George and Ruth (Lyons) Tubbs on July 31, 1947. He entered into his eternal rest on July 23, 2016. A graduate of North High School, he attended the University of Akron earning his BA in Science & Technology Education and an Associates in Applied Science. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He was employed at Uniroyal-Goodrich/Amerisol Synpol Corporation for 33 years in the rubber industry. Greg accepted Christ as his Savior and Lord, and joined The House of the Lord. He remained a faithful member until his health no longer permitted. Greg was an avid tennis player and jogger. He had a unique sense of humor and the gift of gab! He loved his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Cassandra Dudley Lawrence. He leaves to cherish his memory, Adele Tubbs; children, Gregory A. Tubbs of Akron, Dennis L. (Angela) Tubbs of Copley, Melina (Larry "Skip") Askew of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Noel Tubbs of Akron; Ten grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Eunice) Craig, Jane (Joe) Harden, Janice Craig, Steven Craig, Ralph Tubbs, Frederick Tubbs, and Colletta Elmore; and a host of nieces and nephews.
