Grady L. Tanner, 69, departed from this earthly life on May 29, 2016.

He was born in Eastman, Ga and had lived in the Akron, OH community for about 30 years.

Grady enjoyed fishing and had dedicated himself to his self owned construction company for many years.

Preceded in death by his parents, John Tanner Sr., and Bessie Tanner, a son, Grady Lee Tanner, Jr. and sister, Lorraine Vines.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his children, Jasen Tanner of Clinton, MD, Terrell Hunt and Brandon Hunt of Akron, OH, Sean Brown of Utica, New York, Alysia Tanner of Durham, NC, Michelle Brown of Utica, NY, and Sharonda Ivey of Warner Robins, GA; siblings, Orien Vines, John Tanner, Jr., Utaw Maurice Vines, Diane Tanner, Tina Tanner, Vornette Simons, Shirley Weston, 4 grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Local visitation will be held TODAY, Wednesday, June 1, 2016, from 5:00-6:00 P.M at the Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Avenue, Akron, OH 44306 Services will be held on Saturday in Easton, GA. at  Rollins Funeral Home (475) 374-2797 .  Condolences can by sent to the family in C/O Rhoden Memorial Home.
