Gloria Smith. Sr., 65, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 4, 2021, in Tampa, FL surround by her children.  She was born in Akron on January 1, 1956, where she spent most of her life.

Gloria is survived by her 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and her husband, Kevin Smith Sr. She was an incredible person that spoke her mind. If she had something to say, she let you know. She didn't do hugs, but she still loved everyone around her even if they did not know it.

Apart from spending time with her family and loved ones, Gloria managed and operated her own business, Fashions by Glo and Crafts for over the last 30 years. Creating clothing and keepsakes was her passion. Her other passion was her faith, as she attended many different communities with The Kingdom Hall being her home.

Gloria will be remembered for her love of Jehovah, her family, and her hockey puck biscuits she enjoyed baking.

Service will be held on September 24, 2021 at 4 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306.  Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m. until time of service.  All are welcome in helping celebrate the life of this wonderful woman.
