Gloria Stevenson Leonard was born on February 18, 1935 to the late William and Rosalie Craig Stevenson and went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2021.  A lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio, Gloria was 86 years old when she passed.  She graduated from Timken High School and also graduated from Mercy Hospital 's LPN School where she was employed after graduation.

Gloria's passing is bittersweet.  It is true there is sadness amongst family and friends, however she is no longer suffering or in pain.  Tears of sorrow are mixed with tears of joy as loved ones remember Gloria's life.  She was Gloria to many family members and friends, but she was also Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Aunt Gloria.  Gloria was ever the social butterfly; only a smile away from games of Bid Whist or 5000 or trips with dear family members like Beverly and Rainelle or Shirley to a casino.  Gloria would smile with as much enthusiasm and sincerity in the presence of grandchildren, hers or anyone else's.  Grandma Gloria shared babysitting duties with Grandpa Robert until his passing for the better part of forty years.  Backyard get-togethers at Mom and Dad's or anywhere between Canton and Detroit were a must.  She was involved in  various social activities in years past such as co-ed bowling leagues and she was an active member of Trinity Gospel Temple for many years where she was involved, amongst other things, with the preparation for Communion.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Leonard; (2) brothers, Robert "Bobby" Stevenson and William Craig Stevenson; (2) sisters, Mildred Clark, and Jeanette Stevenson; great-grandson, John D. Leonard Jr.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories (2) daughters, Karen (Eric) Showes and Gina Leonard; brother, John (Cleo) Lucas; special daughter, Delores Robinson; grandchildren, John Leonard, Alisha Marshall, Wlliam Leonard, Ryan Leonard, and Kellen Showes; great-grandchildren,  Summer Williams, Ja'Diss Jackson, Jah"Vai Leonard, Ki'yomi Leonard, and Ky'mere Leonard; great-great grandchild, Klover Davis; the following nieces and nephews, Robert (Ronnie) Miller, William (Joan) Stevenson, Dorette Robertson, Randall (LaValle) Clark, and Judy (Kelvin) Jones; many more members of Gloria's friends and family tree, including the Leonard, Lucas, and Jones Families.
