Gloria
Hunt Ross
May 29, 1948 — Oct 16, 2026
Forever Loved, Forever Remembered
With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life and cherish the memory of Gloria Hunt Ross, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend whose love and presence touched the lives of so many.
Born on May 29, 1948, to Walter Hunt and Lila Mae Bivins, she was a woman of strength, dedication, and love. Throughout her life, she demonstrated the value of hard work, spending many years working for FedEx and the Summit County Jail. Her commitment, perseverance, and dedication were a reflection of the strong woman she was.
She was a mother to her only child, John Ross, whom she shared with John Ross Jr. Her greatest blessings extended through her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought her joy and added immeasurable love to her life. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and her love for her family was a special part of who she was.
In her own time, she enjoyed practicing Tai Chi and treasured spending quality time with her family. The moments she shared with those she loved created memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of those who knew her. She will be remembered for her strength, her dedication, the love she gave, and the lasting impression she made on the lives around her.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lila Mae, father Walter and beloved brothers, Barnard, Walter, and Terry, who will forever remain a part of her family’s cherished memories.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved son, John Ross (Tasha) her five grandchildren, Tachiana Vinson-Ross, Jakaeja Ross, Nakyla Ross, Jakara, and Shawn, and her four great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by her best friends, Dwayne, Tikita Vinson, Marshae Ross, and a host of other dear relatives and friends who will continue to honor her life and legacy.
Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the time we were blessed to share with her. Her life was a gift, her love was a blessing, and her memory will remain a treasure to all who knew and loved her.
In honoring her wishes, the family respects her desire not to have a traditional funeral. Instead, we choose to celebrate her life in our own meaningful ways, holding close the moments we shared and remembering the remarkable woman who meant so much to us.
Though she may no longer be by our side, her love will never leave us. She will continue to live on through the memories we cherish, the lessons she taught us, and the love she planted in our hearts.
You were loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and will be remembered for a lifetime.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near.
Forever in our hearts. Never forgotten.
Rest Peacefully
