*Gloria R. Drake

October 29, 1966 – January 19, 2026

Gloria R. Drake passed away on January 19, 2026. She was known for her loving, giving spirit, beautiful smile, and contagious laughter. Gloria showed her love by cooking for family and friends and by being the support people could rely on. She worked for many years as a caregiver for adults with developmental disabilities.

She is reunited in peace with her son, Pierre O'Neal Drake, and with her parents, Gloria and Buford Drake Sr., and her brother, Johnny Drake Sr., and her sister Daisy Drake who all previously departed. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Christopher) Travis; grandsons, Christian and Carver Travis; brother, Buford "Bo" Drake; and beloved confidant, Duran Abernathy. honorary daughters, Michelle and Kelly Garrett, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many chosen family.
