Glenda Murray departed this earth on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Glenda was born on April 5, 1956 to Willie Mae Murray and Peter Clifford. Glenda was raised here in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Canton McKinley High school in 1974. After graduation Glenda started working for the Hoover company and worked for them for 12 years until she moved to Covington, Kentucky.. where she started working at post Glover. In 1999 Glenda moved to Augusta, Georgia where her mother was until her death in 2006. When Glenda moved back to Canton in 2006 she immediately started working at Heinz frozen food where she retired from in 2021. Glenda accepted Christ at an early age & grew up attending church at Greater Bethel Apostolic Church. Glenda was known as a hard worker that never missed work. Glenda enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, enjoyed music, playing cards and she also loved basketball.. she was a diehard Lakers fan. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. Glenda was proceeded in death by her parents, her Aunt (mom) Ann Barrino, Annie Mary Jones, Sisters Bertha Mae Johnson, Jeanette Thomas, Annette Murray, Pearl Clifford-Patterson. Brothers Willie James Murray & Paris Holyfield. Niece Evelyn Sligh and Nephew Errol Clifford, Father of children George Davis Jr, and dear friends Maxine and JoAnn Richardson, Cora Johnson and Donna Inman. Survived by her children George Davis III Jeremy Davis & Jennifer Davis. Grandkids Traci'er Compton, Gianna Davis, George Davis & Brooklyn Davis. Great Grandkids Trevion, Jayla and Jay Jr Hardman, all of Canton. Sister, Agie (Messilah) Curtis, Lavern (Roosevelt) Jackson, Sharon Phinisee. Brother Melvin Phinisee. Special niece, Sabrena Sullivan of Augusta, Georgia, Nephew Darnell Curtis of Canton. Cousin Roberta (Sam) Andrews of Sandersville, Georgia ,William (Andrea) Keith of Atlanta,Georgia and Glenn (Debra) Clifford of Massillon, Ohio near and dear friends Audrey (Gary) Cowles of Georgia.
