Mother Geraldine Jackson Veal, at the age of 85  years old, passed from Labor to Rest on August 5, 2021. She was born to the late Toney and Geneva Clemons Jackson on April 9, 1936.

She was the last of seven siblings. Akron born and raised, she attended Akron Public Schools graduating from East High School class of 1954. She was employed by the Brecksville VA Hospital retiring after 30 years of service.

As a life long member of Phillips Chapel CME Church, she served in various auxiliaries, mother of the church board; the kitchen committee; stewardess board not only as a member, but treasurer as well; the missionary society and passionately serving on the food pantry board; and being a good faithful servant. She was very dedicated to all auxiliaries, even during her illness. She continued to financially support all Phillips Chapel CME auxiliaries and organizations.

She truly loved the Lord and her church home which is currently under the pastorage of pastor Yolanda Pedro Petty.

She entered into marriage on June 22, 1954 to that union two loving daughters were born.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband the late Carvin Lee Veal; brothers, Ted, Toney and Edward Jackson; sisters, Merdell Latson, Erma Kelly and Dora Smart.

She leaves to cherish her legacy, daughters, Toni L (Jimmy) Sisson and Gwendolyn D. (Kerry) Preston; five grandchildren, Geneva McCray, Jerome McCray, Jacquelyn (Duane) Harris, Anita (Dwayne) Preston and Donyelle Preston; fifteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
