Gerald E (Jerry) Spear Sr. was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend who departed April 29, 2026.

He was born March 8,1941 in Akron, Ohio. He served his country in the United States Army and was a military veteran.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, talking trash and enjoying life with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Rose (Harris) Spear; brothers, Larry (Tunie) Spear, Gregory Spear, Darrell Spear and sister, Shirla Greco.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Dottie L Spear, together for a total of 38 years and married for 30. He also leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Anthony (Allison) Dixon, Ricky and Darnell Spear; sisters, Nunnie Williams , Sheila (David) Melton, Shearlene, Karen and Kay Spear, Caprice Spear, Carmella (Lionel) Harrison; sons, Gerald Spear Jr, Grayson Spear, Dimont (Sonya) Anderson, Lavar Holloway; daughters, Gina Spear, Toni (Charles) Sanders, Lameeka Forward, Lashawn Spear, Dawn Rigby-Sutton, Annette (William) Fulmer, Naioki Oxendine; daughter-in-law, Darla Burley as well as a host of nieces, nephews grandchildren, great grandchildren , great-great grandchildren and friends.
