George Turner Sr., 90, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 after a long illness.  He was born February 4, 1933 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late John and Mary Gladys Turner.

George was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family.

Anyone who knew George knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. George was also a passionate golfer and could often be found on the golf course with good friends when he was not at home.

George was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Cherrie Turner his parents, John and Mary Gladys Turner; his brothers, John, James and Donald; and his sister Susie Jordan. George is survived by his sisters, Betty Hopkins and Darlene Poore; brother-in-law, Charles Poulson; his children, Tina Turner, Marilyn Turner, Carolyn Williams, and George Turner Jr.; his grandchildren, Terrel Turner, Kara Turner, Anthony Williams, Dominique Williams, Tre Turner, Yvette Turner; and six beautiful great grandchildren.
