Gearline Holman, also well known as "Gerri", Age 82, went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness and stay at Astoria Nursing Home on March 31, 2024. She was born on November 22, 1941 in Canton, Ohio to Frank Howard and Rosa Lee Taylor. Gerri attended McKinley Senior High School. She worked and retired from the Hoover Company after 30 years of service. Gearline was an exceptional bowler; and was known for traveling with the Rubber City Travelers of Akron, Ohio. She enjoyed playing cards with her buddies and spending time at the casinos. Gearline was preceded in death by both parents, Rosa Lee Taylor "Bunny" and Frank Howard; husband, James Edward Holman; maternal aunt, Emma Lee Jackson; son, Andre P. Howard; grandson, Corwin L. Spicer; brothers, Robert Taylor and Alexander (June) Taylor. She is survived by her siblings, Willamae Howard of Washington, Shirley Daniels and Charles Taylor of Canton; children, Robert M. (Donna) Howard of Lorain, Ohio, Edward W. Howard , Wendy M. Ross, Denise K. Bell, and Marisha L. (Dennis) Holman-Mitchell all of Canton, Ohio. She also leaves a beloved aid, Dreina Snell; along with a host of special grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many family and special friends (Francis Weir, Nancy-O and Joe Sinay).
