Gayle P. Redding was born to Isophine and Theodore Cunningham in Massillon, Ohio on March 7, 1939. She was a proud 1956 graduate of Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio. Gayle was a former employee of the Massillon State Hospital and Stark County Board of Elections. She went on to retire from the Timken Roller Bearing Company after 30 years of service. To know Gayle was to love her. She was an avid reader, traveler, shopper and enjoyed going to the casino. Gayle exemplified elegance and class. She was an active member of Union Baptist Church until her declining health. She was also in several social clubs ---- The Red Hatter being er favorite. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Isophine and Theodore Cunningham; her husband, Lehman D. Redding; sister, Carole (Willie" Herman") Smith; brother, Alvin Cunningham; nephew, Leslie Durell Smith and in-laws, Barbara Rivers and Leslie Hicks. She is survived by two children, daughter, Daphne A. Redding and son Lester R. Redding; grandson, Nigel T. Redding; sister, Lorraine (Frank) Bibby and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
