Gary Vernon McKinley

Gary Vernon McKinley was born on September 15,1951 in Canton, Ohio. He is a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

After spending time in south Florida, Gary returned to Canton to join the family business - McKinley Candy Company.

In 1985, Gary met the love of his life Linda Sistrunk. They married on December 22, 1986. For the past 20 years, the two, with their nephew Victor, operated McKinley Candy Company and GLV Cleaning Service throughout the east coast and Midwest.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen McKinley (Potillo), brother Kittrell Leroy Matthews, nephew Kittrell Lamonte “Monte” Matthews, and great-niece Micheon Meacham.

Cherishing Gary’s life with gratitude are his loving and devoted wife Linda, son DeVon (LaMont), his nephews, nieces and cousins that he loved dearly, and a host of additional family and friends.
