Gary Bruce Marshall, age 66, was born June 2, 1954 to the late Bud James Williams and Barbara Jean Marshall. He departed this life on May 14, 2021.
Gary was number five of ten children. He was truly a loving person who was gifted in drawing people to him. He loved the Lord and was a member of Union Baptist Church since March 19, 2017. Gary was a "jack of all trades" and could do many different types of work. He was co-owner of Panda's Shoe Store, worked at the Akron-Canton Airport and downtown at the court house as a shoe-shiner, and was by far one of the best in the city. He was also employed at the Hoover Company for several years.
Gary loved playing cards, shooting pool, singing in talent shows, he was a member of the singing group J.D. and The Pipes. He was a smooth dancer. Gary was blessed to have lived in Chicago, Oakland, and Florida.
In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mattie Lou Stokes and Shorty
George; (3) brothers, Tyrone Marshall, Michael Mitchell, and Jerrold Marshall; uncle, Richard Stokes Sr.; aunt, Shirley A. Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories (3) sons, Antwain Hunley, Chet Jones, and Rod Jones; (1) daughter, Shantel Lamean "Lady" Marshall; (11) grandchildren; (7) great grandchildren; (6) brothers, Glenn Williams of Tallahassee, Florida, Donnie "Ricky" Marshall, Kenneth "Duke" Williams, Vince "Stevebo" (Stephanie) Williams all of Canton, Ohio, Eric (Becky) Street of Carrollton, Ohio, Mark Marshall of Cleveland, Ohio; (2) sisters, Stephanie Mitchell and Monica L. Clark both of Canton, Ohio; stepmother, Barbara Williams of Canton, Ohio; sister-in-law and very close friend, Nicole Maske; very, very close friends, Chris Burke, Brian Johnson, Sue White, Lisa Stokes, James "Jam" Shubert, Victoria Mitchell of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mary, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
