Frederick D-Ray Rhymes, 60 of Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away on October 14, 2024. Fred was born March 14, 1964 to Georgia Rhymes and Fred Rhymes. Frederick accepted Christ at a very young age. Frederick was known for his infectious humor and unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. His generosity knew no bounds, often going to great lengths to support those around him. Professionally, Fredrick dedicated his talents to North State Aviation as a certified Aircraft Mechanic, where his expertise and hard work were invaluable. He not only excelled in his career but also brought joy and laughter to his colleagues, making long workdays feel shorter with his light heartedness. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Velvet and Ruth Rhymes; maternal grandparents, Addie Lee Copeland and Tellis Copeland, his sister Hope Sierra Rhymes; and beloved nephew, Terrence B. Rhymes II. Frederick leaves to cherish his sweet memories, his mother, Georgia M. Rhymes; father, Fred Rhymes; children, Tyshon Ward, Frederick Martez Mills, Frederick Maurez Mills, Fredriqus Rhymes and his dear sweetheart, Nisha Rhymes; brothers and sisters, Christopher Rhymes of Ohio, Terrence Rhymes of Florida, his twin sister, Cynthia Prather of Ohio, Georgian Rhymes of Ohio, Kishia Rhymes of Ohio, Jamel and Yvette Hayes of North Carolina; 19 grandchildren; childhood friends, Ernest Mathis and N'Tori Smith of Ohio and host of family and friends. Frederick's legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
