Freddie Lee Smith II (Smitty), 50,  made his transition to his final resting place on May 6, 2020. He was born on March 19, 1970 to Dorothy and Freddie Smith (Johnny). Freddie was a graduate of Garfield High School Class of 1988.  After High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and his primary specialty was Utility Equipment Repair.  While in the Army he received 11 Medals of Honor and Ribbons. Freddie was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides and one sister. He is survived by daughters, Dominic, Devon and Fred-d. Smith, Dominique Nugin, Uneeq Smith, Mackinsey Hamilton and Alicia Sessions; sons, Kavonne  and Kay'lee Smith; mother and father, Dorothy and Freddie Smith, Sr.; his sisters, Dwan Henderson, Denise Armstrong, Marketa (Tim) Fry and Kimberly Saulsberry; 7 grandchildren, special friends, James Mosley, Nate Brazil and dedicated cousin, Darnell (Doc) Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
