Frank P. Turner, Sr. 79, transitioned from this earthly life on Dec. 28, 2015, after a brief illness.He was retired from General Motors in Detroit, in 1999 with 34 years of dedicated service.  He also served in the United States Army Airborne Division as a Paratrooper,  Honorably discharged On Aug. 16, 1961.  He was also an avid Golfer involved in many tournaments. Home going Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306, where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Pastor Charles Bell, officiating.  Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Procession will form at 927 Lawton Street Akron, Ohio 44320 and condolences may be sent to 1546 White Ave., Akron, OH 44307.
