Florence Mae Wheeler was born to Jessie Crankfield and Willie Pierce on March 7, 1926 in  Chicago, Illinois,  She relocated to Akron, Ohio.

She worked at B.F. Goodrich and SWAP.  After retiring she was a daycare provider.  She was a    member of First Apostolic Faith Church, a Sunday School Teacher and a member of The Women's   Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse; Ernest Wheeler, son; Lamont A. Street, son; Tray L. Wheeler, grandson; Joel P. Wells and cousin; Hazel McDonald.

She is survived by her daughter; Hattie (Jesse) Walton of Copley, Ohio, son; Kenneth J. Porter Sr., daughter; Paulette D. Wells, son; Kevin L. (Stephanie) Porter and daughter; Tracy L. (Lon) Wheeler-Sheppard of Akron, Ohio, 31 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren as well as a host of cousins and friends.
