Obituary

First Lady Elder Sharon L. Jordan, age 58, transitioned from this earthly realm to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.  She was born August 23, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio and she had resided in Canton for the past 28 years. She accepted Christ at the age of 8 years old and she was truly a woman after God's own heart.  Lady Jordan was the wife of Dr. Richard L. Jordan, Sr. Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church of Canton, Ohio where she faithfully served in the ministry with him. She loved God, His Word, and all people.

She was a past employee of The Timken Company, an author, and the Founder of her own company, The Wealthy Place, LLC. She earned a BA from Malone College and a MBA from Ashland University. She was a member of the Stark County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

She was preceded to glory by her father, Herbert Butler, her sister Jennifer Gordon, and grandson Phillip Rolland, Jr.

She leaves to cherish all the precious moments: her husband, Dr. Richard L. Jordan; her 4 children, Larry (Christina) Jordan, James (Tonisha) Jordan, Reva (Stephen) Franklin, all of Columbus; and Devin (Brandi) Jordan of Canton; 7grandchildren; her mother Eva Butler of Columbus; siblings,Esther (Lewis) Drafton, Sr., Angela (Mitchell) Wafer, Serena Roberts, and James (Shelly) Butler, Jr., sister in love, Maria Scott; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Antioch Baptist Church Family.
