Evelyn Joan Shepherd (Rice), 81, passed away on August 29, 2023, in    Madison, NJ.

Evelyn was born on November 27, 1941, in Akron, Ohio to the late Ulysses and Bessie McCray Rice.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Rice Deitchman; son, Steven Shepherd; other family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Dr. Lloyd Shepherd; sisters, Beverly Ely, Sandra Rice Richardson (Melvin) and Dr. Janet Rice; along with many nieces,  nephews; other relatives and friends.
