Woodruff
October 2, 1923 – October 6, 2017
On Friday, October 6th, Eva Mae Woodruff was called home to be with her Lord and Savior after a brief illness. She was born in Clio, Alabama on October 2, 1923 and was a lifelong resident of Canton. She attended Antioch Baptist Church were she served on the Nurse's Board with her good friend Mattie Hightower. Eva was also a staff member of Rhoden Memorial Home, Inc. for many years. In her later years, she was cared for by her baby sister Connie (Bill) Williams before relocating to Atlanta three years ago to live with her daughter Anita and son in-law William Epps. Family was important to Eva and she enjoyed spending time with them when she wasn't doing her favorite pastime - word search books or going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maudie and Leila Williams, sons, James "Jimmy" Woodruff, Shone Woodruff and Robert "Bobby" Woodruff, and siblings, Corine, Ella Mae, Bertha, Florence, Lorene, Frank, Larry, Donald, Ronald and brother-in-laws Lonnie (LC) Clark and Roy Henderson and sister-in-law Ernestine Williams.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Anita (William)Epps, granddaughters LaTrese Coyt, Jasmine and Taylor Miller, Monica and Pasha Epps Atlanta (GA); Teresa Tyson, Marc Woodruff, Charlotte (NC), Desiree (Bryan) Russolesi, Northridge (CA)and Shannelle Woodruff, Ventura (CA); four sisters, Catherine Clark, Gertha (Dave) Smith, Connie (Bill) Williams of Canton and Delores Henderson of St Paul (MN); five brothers Harry Williams, Gary Williams, Las Vegas (NV), Charles (Knucky)Williams, George Williams, and Freddie Williams, Canton, (OH). Great-children Morgan & Marcus Coyt (GA), Lorena Natara, Jeremy Woodruff, Christopher Russolesi, Kierra McGee and Kayla Clay(CA) and great-great granddaughter, Marley Coyt (GA), beloved niece Kisha (Christopher) Gunn , Columbus (OH) and a host of loved nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
