On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Eula Brooks made her transition home to be with the Lord at the blessed age of 74. She was born on November 24, 1943 in Greenwood, South Carolina to her parents, Joe and Geneva Lockhart. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Eula is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Geneva Lockhart; and 7 siblings. Eula leaves to cherish her loving memory and to carry on her legacy, daughter, Tonya Thomas; granddaughters, Kanisha and Brooke Thomas; great grandson, Jordan Thomas all of Akron; brother, Joel (Anna) Lockhart of Akron; sisters, Mary Skirkett of South Carolina, Geneva Brooks of Las Vegas, and Susie (Robert) Griffin of South Carolina; niece and nephew whom she raised as her own, Richard "Bruiser" Brown Jr. and Nichelle Brown; Goddaughters, Yolanda Pryor and Danielle Hartsfield; and a host of other loving family and friends.
