Ernest J Parks, 70 years old, of West Chester, Ohio was born on September 13, 1944 in Canton, Ohio. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 9, 2014 at West Chester Hospital in West Chester, Ohio, after an extended illness.
Ernie graduated from McKinley High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967 where he spent time in Germany. Ernie married his wife Ella on September 25, 1982. He was truly a wonderful, loving and caring husband. Ernie and Ella moved from Canton to West Chester, Ohio in October of 1986. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 39 years where he was well liked and respected. Ernie retired as a plant supervisor in 2006. He attended Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio. Ernie was truly a people person, he loved to laugh and talk with everyone even if you didn't know him, you felt that you did within minutes of meeting him. Ernie was always filled with loud joyful laughter whenever he was in your presence. Ernie always made it an important point to learn and remember people's names and treat them with respect. He never looked down on anyone and loved to give to others. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Parks Sr. and mother Irene Parks
Ernie's memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of 32 years, Ella, loving daughter Taylor F. Parks, his beloved sister, Charlene Thomson (Jimmie), sister-in-laws; Willie Mae Horner, Jacqueline Mangum (Charles), and Burnell Dent (Will). An uncle as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
