Eloy Lopes, Sr., passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Mercy Medical   following an extended illness.    He retired from Republic Steel after (35) thirty-five years.  Eloy served in the US Airforce for (2) two years .  He was very proud of his Military service. Eloy was preceded in death by his father, John Lopes; his mother, Lena Rodriquez; stepmother, Ila Lopes; sisters, Estella Fontes and Sally Lopes. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of (49) forty-nine years, Helen Lopes; sons, Larry (Darlene) Compton and Eloy Lopes, Jr.; daughters, Leslie Compton and Margo Lopes; along with seven sisters; three brothers; thirteen grandchildren; 6 great-grand children and many other relatives and friends.
