Eloise D. Hightower transitioned Home to be with the Lord on May 24,2016 at the blessed age of 82. She was born on May 27, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to her parents, George Washington and Annie Frances Averitte.

Eloise is preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.

To forever cherish her loving memory she leaves her sons, John "Pete" Hightower Jr., Aaron (Darlene) Hightower, Ronnie (Kim) Hightower, and Steven (Kani) Hightower; daughters, Carolyn (Robert) Addie and Sondra "Sandy" Hightower (Tony); devoted daughter-in-law, Patty Averiette-Johnson (Ray Johnson); sisters-in-laws, Eloise Simpson, Ida Walker, Elizabeth Hightower and Minister Jessalynn Cannon; fourteen grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; and a host on nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Home Going celebration will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 12 noon at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Minister Jessalynn Cannon, eulogizing and Minister Keisha Bell, officiating.
